Jamie Gissel is a 20+ year law enforcement veteran who spent nearly 16 years on his department’s full-time SWAT team as a lead breacher and tactical instructor, taking part in hundreds of high-risk operations. He now leads his department’s Advanced Training Unit and founded Valor Threat Protection, delivering specialized training nationwide in areas such as active shooter response, breaching, advanced tactics, and officer mindset development. His mission is to raise the standard of training and prepare officers to succeed when lives are on the line.

Dr. Brett Bennett is a 20+ year law enforcement professional with over twenty years of experience in the San Francisco Bay Area, with a background that includes roles such as Force Options Instructor, K9 Handler, and Field Training Officer. His work focuses on improving police decision-making and performance under stress, supported by advanced study in psychology, force science, and education; he has published widely and is committed to evolving training so officers are better prepared before, during and after critical incidents.
